September 2002 AES Meeting Notice

Please join the San Francisco Section of the AES for a special Holiday social event where an award will be presented to Bill Orner, longtime member and Chapter Officer spanning the last two decades. Bill has served most recently for the past several years as Chapter Secretary and has provided invaluable service to the meetings in the Bay Area, including the mailings and email notices. Bill was instrumental in creating and maintaining the Chapter Web site (www.aessf.org).

All members are invited to join us to share a selection of hors d'oeuvres and a complementary beverage from the bar in the Bay View room on the top floor of the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Foster City, centrally located at the end of the San Mateo Bridge with easy access from all parts of the Bay Area. Special guest speakers will be on hand to fill us in on all the activities leading up to the 2004 International AES Conference to be held here in San Francisco next Fall.

The gathering is scheduled a little earlier than the usual meeting time to allow everyone to drop in after work, and be home in time for dinner or evening with family or friends. Food and beverages start at 6:00pm, with the award presentation scheduled for 7:30pm, after which everyone is invited to remain and network with other audio engineers and enthusiasts in the industry.
