In this seminar, presenter Gannon Kashiwa will step
through signal flow of the Pro Tools HD software from input to output. The
discussion will include plug-ins, the TDM II bus, and a detailed description of
the Pro Tools 48-bit mixer, final summing and dither. Emphasis will be placed on
the dynamic range and precision available
by using double precision throughout the summing bus. The goal of the seminar is
to provide the interested user with information on how the Pro Tools HD mixer is
optimized for dynamic range and preservation of
audio detail.
